I don’t know much about cameras, but enjoy taking photos as a hobby. I would like to get a little more involved with it, but am not sure if my current camera is worth keeping. It is a Cannon PowerShot A95 and seems to work fine, but I have seen newer models (like the A590IS) that outwardly seem to be a better camera. Should I invest in a new camera or in additional equipment for the one I have (lenses, filters, etc). Is the A95 a decent camera?

Also, I’m interested in PhotoShop Elements 6. Is this a good entry level program for hobby photographers? I’m not looking to do anything spectacular here, I just want some nicer photos!
